I grew up a third-culture-kid, moving between America, Europe & Asia; never staying in a city for more than four years at a time. During the eternity I spent flying (pre-inflight wifi) I would entertain myself by drawing, amending my favorite books & movies. I'm fairly certain my passion for design & technology stems from an early obsession with science fiction.
I learn best by taking things apart. Why things work fascinates me just as much as how. I'm always dreaming up new ways something can be used, improved or sampled. I was fortunate in that my teachers recognized this as a passion for design and were able to guide me—I went on to study graphic design at the University of Illinois followed by a short stint at the Art Institute of Chicago studying interaction.
Today, I'm working with Frankly to empower local broadcasters by giving them back control of their digital properties. I lead the design/development of our Product Design Language, a platform agnostic, highly modular & fully-customizable design system that aims to make website & application maintenance easier than ever before.
